It is one of the four founding fraternities of the Schwarzburgbund, which was established in 1887 in Schwarzburg in Thuringia. The league emerged from the Viererbund (league of four) concluded in 1885, which besides Sedinia Greifswald comprised Uttenruthia Erlangen, Tuiskonia Halle and Nordalbingia Leipzig. As a Christian-oriented, non-fencing association, the Schwarzburgbund does not require a particular denomination, but does require orientation towards Christian ethics. In the Leibverhältnis an older Bursch, as Leibbursch, takes on the role of a mentor and advises his Leibfuchs in fraternity matters. In the dedication “s. l. Lbfx.” stands for “seinem lieben Leibfuchs” (to his dear Leibfuchs), “z. fr. Erg.” for “zur freundlichen Erinnerung” (in friendly remembrance) and “S. S.” for the summer semester.
