Lot of 160 Notgeld notes, series notes with Neusalz, Fürstenberg, Sömmerda, Minden and Diepholz Paper. Lot of 160 emergency money notes (Notgeld), including colour-printed series notes such as "Stadt Neusalz (Oder)" with values from 25 pfennig to 1.50 mark, "Archivserie" sheets 1 to 5 with Charles V, Luther, Wallenstein, Bach and Tilly, "Notgeld der Stadt Sömmerda", Rathenow with equestrian motifs, Minden shooting festival with "Zapfenstreich", "Ausmarsch", "Fahnenschwenken" and "Schützenkönig", "Stadt Mühlberg a. E.", district of Diepholz, "Fürstenberg i. Meckl.", "Notgeld der Gemeinde Gross Flottbek" and notes with colonial motifs. Good condition commensurate with age. Series notes (Serienscheine) are paper emergency money notes issued in Germany during the inflation period from 1917 to 1922 by towns, municipalities, innkeepers, firms and associations. They served as a substitute for small change but were deliberately designed for Notgeld collectors, who collected them systematically like stamps, and were often sold in their own envelopes, which brought the issuers additional income. They were designed as silhouettes, multicoloured prints or series with local views, and the denominations ranged from under one pfennig to, rarely, more than 10 marks. A Reich law of 17 July 1922 prohibited the further issue of series notes and other emergency money.
