POSEV. A substantial collection comprising 126 issues of the journal from 1968 to 1989. B.E. Rare on the market. A sociopolitical journal, the official publication of the Russian Solidarists’ People’s and Workers’ Union (NTS). Founded in the summer of 1945 in the Mönheghof displaced persons camp (American occupation zone in Germany), under the direction of B. V. Pryanishnikov. Originally, it was a weekly newspaper (circulation of the first issues: 200 to 400 copies). By 1967, 1,127 issues had been published. Starting with issue No. 1128 (1968), it became a monthly magazine. In the 1960s and 1970s, “Posev” became one of the main sources of information abroad about events in the USSR: it published documents from the Committee of Scientists and Technicians (NTS), eyewitness accounts of repression, articles on human rights and religious movements, as well as samizdat publications. POSEV. A socio-political journal, the official publication of the People’s Labor Union of Russian Solidarists (NTS). Founded in the summer of 1945 in the Mönchehof displaced persons camp (American occupation zone of Germany); editor: B. V. Pryanishnikov. Originally a weekly newspaper (circulation of the first issues: 200–400 copies). By 1967, 1,127 issues had been published. Starting with No. 1128 (1968), it became a monthly magazine. In the 1960s and 1970s, *Posev* became one of the main overseas sources of information about events in the USSR: it published documents from the NTS, accounts of repression, materials on the human rights and religious movements, and samizdat. Contributors to the magazine included A. Solzhenitsyn, V. Voinovich, G. Vladimov, V. Maximov, L. Rzhevsky, and others. Of particular interest are the nine special issues from 1969–1971, published to accommodate the flood of samizdat material that could no longer fit into the main journal. Beginning in 1972, the publication *Volnoe Slovo* took over this role. This collection includes issues from 1968–1989. 1968: Nos. 1–12; 1969: Nos. 1–12, the first and second special issues; 1970: Nos. 1–12, the third, fourth, and fifth special issues; 1971: Nos. 1–12, the sixth, seventh, eighth, and ninth special issues; 1972: Nos. 1–12; 1973: Nos. 1–9, 12; 1974: Nos. 1–12; 1975: Nos. 1–12; 1976: Nos. 1–6, 8–12; 1987: Nos. 1–12; 1989: Nos. 1–12. All journals are in their original bindings, in good condition. The period 1968–1976 is the most fully represented—marking the transition to the magazine format and the peak of the dissident movement. Special issues Nos. 1–9 constitute a separate, rare collection in which issues of *Chronicle of Current Events* and other samizdat documents were published abroad for the first time; for example, issue No. 3 contained materials from the case of Y. Maltsov’s case; No. 4—the case of I. Burmistrovich; No. 5—documents on political persecution; and No. 7—documents on Jewish emigration and the Leningrad Trial.
