In French, English, and Russian, 188 pp., 35 x 22.5 cm, as is (wear, stains, glue marks, creases). This notebook contains various work-related materials recorded throughout the year: personal notes, lists, draft letters, summaries and excerpts from speeches, sketch drawings, formulas and calculations, drafts of articles, as well as excerpts from journal articles on scientific and social topics pasted in several places. The notebook contains a series of calculations related to the theory of hydrogazodynamics, as well as a series of articles on the use of the “bazooka” by Allied forces at the end of World War II. It was precisely after reading these articles that D.P. Riabouchinsky concluded that his invention had been used without his knowledge by the U.S. military. These articles led to a legal dispute between the scientist and the U.S. Department of Defense, as well as the suspension of his U.S. patent.
