RARE CAUCASIAN KINDJAL With its original silver scabbard and original blade. The blade is adorned with Arabic inscriptions: “My lord, O Messenger of Allah, intercede on our behalf with Allah.” Two gold hallmarks on the blade Silver, engraving, tchern, steel 49.5 cm (with sheath), 36 cm (blade), A.B.E. (restorations on the handle and sheath [welds], crack on the sheath [approx. 1 cm]), Caucasus, likely Chechnya or Georgia, 1900s. RARE CAUCASUS DAGGER Presented with its original silver scabbard and original blade. The blade is decorated with inscriptions in Arabic: “O my Lord, O Messenger of Allah, intercede for us before Allah.” Two gilded hallmarks on the blade Silver, engraving, niello, steel 49.5 cm (with scabbard), 36 cm (blade), general condition: fair (restoration on the hilt and scabbard (soldering), crack on the scabbard (approx. 1 cm)), Caucasus, likely Chechnya or Georgia, 1900s.
