WRITING TABLE, Rectangular in shape, made of satin-finished mahogany veneer, featuring two drawers along one side and two faux drawers on the opposite side; rests on slender legs topped with pine cones and wooden casters; the tabletop is bordered by a bronze mold. Louis XVI period. Ornamentation features chiseled and gilded bronze elements such as acanthus leaves, framing moldings, medallions, and twisted moldings. Bears a RIESENER mark and a guild hallmark.
