TÀPIES, ANTONI (1923–2012) TAPIES, Antoni.—"SERIE NEGRE" Artika, 2016. Folio, screen-printed burlap case, divided into two parts. One part contains the volume of studies, featuring a screen-printed text by Tàpies. The other part of the case is a display stand made of burlap and glass, allowing the 15 prints that make up the Série Negre to be displayed individually. A numbered copy from a limited edition, perfectly preserved in its original case. The Série Negre was created by Tàpies in 1967 on kraft paper, a medium that allowed him, through nuances and textural variations, to highlight the true protagonist: the color black.
