BRASILLACH (Robert) - Poèmes de Fresnes, Edition printed in two copies, copy 1. Typescript. Ex-libris by Jean LARTEGUY. Robert Brasillach, born on March 31, 1909, in Perpignan and executed by firing squad on February 6, 1945, at Fort de Montrouge in Arcueil, was a French writer, journalist, and collaborator. In addition to his literary activities, he is best known for his political involvement with the far right: trained in the Action française movement, he shifted toward fascism in the 1930s (while continuing to write for *L’Action française*). During the Occupation, he advocated for active collaboration with the Nazis and became editor-in-chief of the collaborationist and anti-Semitic newspaper *Je suis partout*. After the Liberation, during the purge, he was tried for collusion with the enemy, convicted, and executed by firing squad. Formerly part of the Jean LARTEGUY collection, acquired from the estate of Mrs. L.
