A rare and well carved Tibetan gilt wood Prajnaparamita sutra cover 15th century The centre deeply carved with four-armed Prajnaparamita holding a vajra and sutra, set within arched niche with Garuda to top, flanked by two Paramita deities to each side, all contained within bands of lotus petals, one side carved with a pagoda to the centre flanked by foliage and a Tibetan character to one end, 73x30x4.3cm. Provenance: North England private collection, and thence by descent. A & N Aux C.S.L. (label) (Army & Navy Auxiliary C. S.
