BRONZE MONKEY VASE Western Asia, first half of the 2nd millennium B.C. A tripod vase with a globular body and a truncated conical neck, featuring a biconical thumb-loop handle attached to the body. On the opposite side is a figurine of a seated monkey, its long tail hanging between its legs, its body leaning forward, and its left arm drawn up to its face.
