Skeleton clock Made of chiseled bronze and brass with a white enameled ring dial signed “Adam” in Saint-Malo, displaying the hours in Roman numerals. Gilded brass hand, re-drilled. Brocco suspension movement. Regulating balance wheel with a latticework design, topped with a sun motif. Re-drilled gilded brass hour hand. First half of the 19th century. H-34 x 12 x 10 cm. With base: H-40 cm. Since our clockmaker Adam of Saint-Malo is not listed in the Tardy catalog, we can link him, by analogy, to the clockmaker Adam who was active in Saint-Brieuc between 1834 and 1840.
