Mahogany industrial desk? Resting on four carved, tapered legs (which can be unscrewed from the top). Side drawer. The top is trimmed with black leather. 19th century. H-74, W-149, D-90 cm. Stain on the top. Provenance: - Desk belonging to Nantes industrialist Paul Avril, son of the founder of the “Avril et Fiteau” fertilizer factory in Nantes. - Passed down through the family in Versailles to the present day.
