[ADVERTISING & POPULAR IMAGES] — CHROMOLITHOGRAPH ALBUM. Amateur album of small lithographed advertising cards 20th century. Oblong In-4 format. Contemporary binding in full brown percaline. Collector’s album containing 37 sheets of thick blued paper, most of which are almost entirely pasted with numerous period advertising cards, chromolithographs, and promotional materials. A very interesting record of Parisian commerce during the Belle Époque, including, notably, advertisements for the Théâtre de la Porte Saint-Martin, Maison Ad. Godchau, La Samaritaine, as well as mementos from the Magasins du Bon Marché. As is. The binding is worn, with split jaws. Tears and missing sections are present on several sheets or images, but the collection as a whole remains highly representative.
