POSTCARD ALBUM. TOUR DE FRANCE. TOURISM. AMICORUM ALBUM. YEAR 1900. A beautiful album of vintage postcards. 52 leaves with borders and backing, mounted on tabs, containing over 200 black-and-white postcards with photographs, some printed on blue paper. All feature handwritten text and postmarks. Addressed notably to Marguerite in Sanxay, in the Vienne department. 1900 World’s Fair. Eiffel Tower. Nice… Of note are a few cards from the rare “Dreyfus Trial in Rennes” series published by Warnet-Lefèvre (Rennes) based on photographs taken on site. Modern green half-cloth binding in small folio format (22 x 29 cm), covers of mosaic percaline with a floral motif in the style of the period and a gold-stamped title. Slight wear and a few stains.
