LARGE BRONZE FIREGILT PADMASAMBHAVA TIBET 16TH CENTURY Dimensions: Height 23 cm Wide 15 cm Depth 10 cm Weight: 2637 grams The seated figure wears an elaborate floral crown, large circular earrings and multiple strands of beaded jewellery. One hand is raised beside the chest, while a flowering stem emerges at the shoulder; the crossed legs rest upon a broad, stepped pedestal. The richly gilded surface is accented by small turquoise-coloured and reddish inset details on the crown, ornaments and belt. Darkened recesses bring out the modelling of the face, jewellery and layered base.
