VAJRA SIX-EYED DZI BEAD, TIBET Dimensions: Height 1 cm Wide 3,2 cm Depth 1 cm Weight: 5 grams An elongated, barrel-shaped bead with a smooth, dark brown to black surface marked by pale, softly edged bands and rounded motifs. The polished body narrows toward a drilled opening at one end, through which a dark cord is threaded. Subtle variations in the translucent brown areas and the slightly irregular pattern lend the small object considerable visual depth. Patterned dzi-type beads are valued in Tibetan and Himalayan traditions as personal ornaments and objects carrying protective associations. Their visual language depends on the contrast between dark stone and pale markings, often interpreted through symbolic names such as eyes or vajra forms.
