A HETIAN JADE CHI DRAGON PENDANT FROM CHINA Dimensions: Height 7 cm Wide 4 cm Depth 1 cm Weight: 48,5 grams A pale Hetian jade pendant carved in openwork with a sinuous chi dragon curling around the interior of an elongated oval frame. The stone is softly translucent, with creamy white and faintly greenish tones, and the carving alternates rounded polished surfaces with deeply pierced openings. A suspension cord passes through the upper section. The composition uses the natural solidity of the stone economically, turning the dragon's body and scrolling limbs into the structural framework of the pendant itself.
