(R) A KUTANI PORCELAIN DISH , JAPAN, 19TH CENTURY KAGA PROVINCE, FUKU SEAL MARK Dimensions: Height 7 cm Diameter 38,5 cm Weight: 2100 grams A large porcelain dish painted in a vivid Kutani-style enamel palette. The central medallion shows a small bird perched among bamboo and flowering peonies, surrounded by alternating cartouches of floral motifs and scrolling ornament. Emerald green, turquoise, aubergine, blue and yellow are set against a richly patterned ground, with gilt accents enlivening the rim and finer details. The reverse is painted more freely with flowering branches and stylised foliage, while a square green seal mark appears at the centre of the base. The dish is nineteenth-century Japanese Kutani ware from Kaga Province. Its broad format allows the decoration to unfold in concentric zones, balancing the naturalistic bird-and-flower centre with the denser patterning of the border. This VAT is waived for: - Private buyers outside the EU who officially export the items.- Businesses inside the EU holding a valid VAT number, exporting to their home country.
