PHOTOGRAPHY. "Hôtel Dieu" by Jacqueline SALMON Exhibition catalog and interview with the artist. Published by Cadran solaire, contemporary art, 1992 40 pages Cover damaged Notes: Jacqueline SALMON (1943–), a French photographer, uses this book to present photographs of this historic monument—a decommissioned hospital—a work that preserves the memory of the building and brings the monument to life. As we follow its various stages of change, we see it empty, abandoned, and seemingly lifeless. These images echo the years dedicated to the health of its residents and their inevitable deaths.
