LUCIEN CLERGUE Beach… Vintage poster, signed, dated (1979), and shipped by the photographer. 64.4 x 33 cm. Top edge shows signs of wear. Note: This poster by Lucien Clergue, dedicated to the theme of the beach, illustrates one of the most iconic subjects of his photographic work. Throughout his career, the photographer has cast a unique gaze upon Mediterranean landscapes, the play of light, the human form, and natural elements, creating images of great poetic power. Signed, inscribed, and dated 1979 by the artist, this poster attests to the special bond Clergue maintained with his collectors and admirers. A member of the Académie des Beaux-Arts and co-founder of the Rencontres d’Arles, he remains one of the leading figures in 20th-century French photography. This piece offers a particularly personal glimpse into his artistic world and his attachment to the Mediterranean.
