IMAGINARY VAGABONDS A tribute to the poets A. Rimbaud, A. Daudet… in a film by Alfred Chaumel, 1950 Vintage lithographic poster, designed by Simone Marchand 42 x 32 cm Tears Note: Original poster published for the release of *Vagabonds Imaginaires*, a film directed by Alfred Chaumel and released in 1950. This work pays tribute to several major figures in French literature, notably Arthur Rimbaud and Alphonse Daudet, in a poetic evocation blending literary references and the cinematic world. Printed using lithography, this small poster is illustrated by Simone Marchand, whose artwork forms part of the film’s visual identity. Intended for in-theater promotion, it is a representative example of postwar French movie posters, when hand-drawn illustrations still played a prominent role.
