315 - Affiche Ancienne Original vintage sport poster for the Sportpalast Hannover 6 Tage-Rennen / Sports Palace Hanover 6 Day Race track cycling event held from 30 January to 5 February 1953 featuring black and white artwork of two track cyclists cycling at speed with the bold black title text above the stylised red lettering and event information against a bright yellow background below. Built in 1949, the Radrennbahn Messe-Sportpalast velodrome in Hanover hosted six day track cycling races from 1950-1953; the 1953 event was won by the German racing cyclist Hans Preiskeit (1920-1972) and the Swiss professional cyclist Oscar Plattner (1922-2002). Excellent condition, minor folds, minor browning at edges. Country of issue: Germany, designer: D. Fredrichs, size (cm): 42x30, year of printing: 1953.
