ZOLOTAS, “Papyrus” Model A 750‰ yellow gold collar necklace composed of articulated links arranged in fan shapes, stylized to resemble papyrus plants, decorated with gadroons and edged with gold beads, with a satin finish on one side and a polished finish on the other. Signed “ZOLOTAS.” Made in Greece, with the House’s hallmark. Length: 40 cm. Link width: 1.6 cm. Weight: 51 g. Comes with a green suede-like case from the House. Founded in 1895 by Efthymios Zolotas, the House of Zolotas developed its aesthetic by drawing inspiration from the creations of ancient Greece. Our necklace is reminiscent of pieces preserved at the Archaeological Museum of Heraklion in Crete—known for housing an exceptional collection of Minoan jewelry—which feature very similar link designs.
