BUCCELLATI Dome ring in 750‰ yellow and white gold centered with a round cabochon cat’s-eye chrysoberyl set in a chiseled bezel, flanked halfway up the band by an openwork “tulle”-style design enhanced with brilliant-cut diamonds; the band has a satin finish. Signed “M. BUCCELLATI ITALY.” Made in Italy (Workshop 15 MI). Ring size: 54. Width: 1.7 cm. Gross weight: 12.6 g. (Slight scratches, small cracks in the center stone). The Milanese house of Buccellati is renowned for its exceptionally refined work in precious metals. One of its signature techniques is the “tulle” pattern, also known as “honeycomb.” This technique was created in the 1920s by Mario Buccellati, who drew inspiration from Venetian lace and Renaissance embroidery, and has become truly iconic.
