French piece from the 1960s Charming “Duck” brooch in 750‰ yellow gold, its body formed of an oval cabochon amethyst set in a claw setting, its legs and wings fluted, its eye accented by a round faceted tsavorite garnet, the whole design highlighted by twisted friezes. 750‰ yellow gold pin. Atelier diamond-shaped hallmark. Dimensions: 3.7 x 2.1 cm. Gross weight: 13 g. (Amethyst not original; soldering on the pin mechanism).
