Art Deco-era piece A 585‰ yellow gold lapel clip brooch, exempt from tax, adorned with a step-cut rock crystal and centered with a row of calibrated Madeira citrines. Pins in 585‰ yellow gold. Dimensions: 3 x 2.6 cm. Gross Weight: 10.2 g. (Chips and material loss, stress cracks, oxidation). Accompanied by a Cartier New York case in red morocco leather, gilded with small ironwork. Our cufflink, with its geometric shapes and adorned with Madeira citrines, is reminiscent of Cartier’s creations from the 1930s. It naturally brings to mind the tiara created by Cartier London for the coronation of George VI in 1937 and is also reminiscent of bracelets, cufflinks, and other jewelry crafted in this style during the same period.
