PAIR OF VASES IN BRONZE, COBALT BLUE PORCELAIN, AND ENAMELED MEDALLIONS. A pair of high-end decorative vases made in Italy during the second half of the 20th century. The pieces are inspired by classic French designs from the Louis XVI period. Each vase features a stylized, ovoid porcelain body in a deep cobalt blue. The front of the porcelain is decorated with delicate courtly scenes and romantic motifs. The most distinctive feature of the bases is the inclusion on the front of a delicate oval medallion created using the technique of enamel painted on a metal plate, depicting a female portrait in profile in the style of classical cameos. Both bronze bases retain on their underside the original industrial engraving with the text “BREVETTATO” alongside the mold patent number, certifying their origin from the prestigious Italian luxury decoration workshops of the era. One of the vases has chips in the enamel on the central part of the vase’s body. Dimensions: 36.5 x 14.5 x 14 cm
