It contains precise data for the area on the population, agriculture and economy of the villages of eastern Crete. Chalikiopoulos provides a snapshot of the religious demographics of Sitia before the final departure of all Muslims Cretans. He focused on the geology and physical landscape of the area. The book contains precious folded big maps, as they display the distribution of settlements and the land use for the very first time for the Lasithi area.
