Arts & Crafts Era Painted Glass Landscape Table Lamp Early 20th century Artist/Designer/Manufacturer: Unknown Materials: Hand-painted textured/frosted glass shade (reverse-painted or obverse-painted); patinated cast metal (likely iron or white metal/spelter bronze) base Marking(s): Marked on bottom of lamp base "1A" Cataloguer's Note: This early 20th-century table lamp is an excellent representation of American craftsmanship from the Arts & Crafts and Art Nouveau periods (circa 1910–1920s). The domed glass shade features a hand-painted scenic landscape depicting rolling mountains, autumn foliage, and trees rendered in muted earth tones of forest green, burnt sienna, and golden amber. When illuminated, the light filters through the frosted glass texture to create a soft, atmospheric glow that mimics a sunset. The shade is paired with a matching geometric, tiered cast-metal base featuring a dark brown patina typical of the era. Electrified.
