GALLE ESTABLISHMENTS (1904–1936) “Magnolia branches in bloom and in bud” Table lamp commonly known as a “mushroom lamp”; the baluster-shaped stem, with a flattened cross-section, rests on an overhanging circular base; the lampshade is conical with an inward-curving rim. Multi-layered glass piece; the title decoration is rendered in red and garnet on a yellow background, with the lampshade’s colors slightly more muted than those of the stem. Complete with its three-pronged bronze lampshade holder. Each element—the base and the bulb cover—is signed “GALLE,” engraved in reserve using acid etching in cameo style. Height: 57 cm Scattered scuffs on the lampshade; the tones are very slightly lighter on the base than on the lampshade (visible when the lamp is off). Expert: Emmanuel EYRAUD.
