WOLF-HUNTING DAGGER. Handle entirely in filigree. Engraved and chiseled iron mount. Guard with two prongs, adorned with a gold-engraved escutcheon bearing the initials “BX.” Straight blade, finely engraved at the heel, with a fuller. Wooden scabbard covered in black shagreen, with two finely chiseled silver fittings featuring foliage motifs, signed on the back “F. Fauré Le Page à Paris.” A.B.E. Circa 1850.
