A scale model of a 1958 Ferrari Testa Rossa, crafted in silver and fiberglass by Carrera y Carrera and finished with original Ferrari paint, won the European "Ferrari" window display competition, presented by Montecarlo Jewelers in 1984. The competition, which attracted some 700 of Europe’s most prominent jewelers, aimed to promote the Ferrari Formula line and showcase the new watch and pen designs then supported by the Cartier group. Dutch engineers installed a small computer in the car so that its hood and trunk would open and close, revealing the displayed items, and the lights would turn on and off. The prize was a real Ferrari, and the winner was announced in Paris with the symbolic presentation of the keys. Subsequently, the scale model has been exhibited in Valencia, Paris, Disneyland, Italy, Japan, Basel, and the U.S., and has been featured in several Ferrari exhibitions. Dimensions: 125 x 49 cm
