239 - A large enameled dish, decorated with "flowers and grasses" At the centre of the well, an eight-spoked wheel medallion is encircled by a band of diaper pattern. Surrounding it, a dense floral scroll — rendered in shades of green with accents of iron-red and pale yellow — fills the surface within a series of concentric borders, continuing in like fashion around the rim. The vivid, green-dominant colouring and the richly detailed, closely worked design together exemplify the lavish polychrome porcelain of the Kangxi period. H: 6.8cm D: 33cm Wooden box China, Qing Dynasty, Kangxi era
