It had a fibreglass body and a three-rotor fuel-injected Wankel engine mounted in the centre. The three-rotor engine proved not powerful enough for a sports car. The C 111-II was built in 1970. This was followed by a more powerful engine variant. The bodywork was completely redesigned to improve visibility and reduce lift on the front axle. The C 111-II was fitted with a four-rotor Wankel engine producing 275 kilowatts. With this, it reached a top speed of 290 km/h."
