Bozena Lesiak, "Snieg II" (Snow), oil painting from 1991, framed Bozena Lesiak, *1952 Jaroslaw, Polish painter, here: "Snieg II", abstract landscape in the snow, oil/canvas, 50 x 65 cm, signed on the left, signed, inscribed and dated on the reverse. 1991, framed About the artist: Bozena Lesiak studied at the Faculty of Painting at the Academy of Fine Arts in Krakow from 1972 to 1977. She then took part in numerous exhibitions in Poland and abroad and quickly became known for her dynamic works. Her paintings explore nature with a particular focus on close-ups created through a process of overlaying and reconstructing thick oil paint. Lesiak juxtaposes the smoothness of the canvas with rough, gestural brushstrokes reminiscent of Fauvism. Lesiak has exhibited her work in group and solo exhibitions in Poland and beyond in countries such as Germany, France and Switzerland. Her work has been presented four years in a row at the Europ'Art art fair in Geneva
