Large ‘Veiled Dance’ sculpture, c. 1900, stucco with a bronze finish, signed ....Lebourg A young female nude, discreetly draped in flowing, billowing panels of fabric, has her arm raised above her head and is dancing on one leg. She stands on a hemispherical plinth decorated with a star. This Art Nouveau sculpture is strongly reminiscent of the famous ‘Veiled Dancer’ depictions of the dancer Loie Fuller. Signed on the base: ????....Lebourg, bronzed stucco, minor loss of colour, otherwise in very good condition, height 77cm
