About the artist: Lyudmila Gennadievna Galumova studied at the Art School in Omsk, at Yaroslavl Art College and at the Academy of Arts in Leningrad (St Petersburg). She is internationally renowned above all for her textile art, artistic quilts (such as the well-known art project ‘Birds’), decorative textile books, and for the design of theatre - stick puppets (Yavanka puppets), which are exhibited, amongst other places, at the St Petersburg Puppet Museum. Her works are held in renowned institutions such as the Museum of 20th-21st Century Art in St Petersburg and the Vladimir-Suzdal Museum.
