Dieter Otto Berschinski, 5 expressive-abstract watercolours Dieter Otto Berschinski, born 1941 in Bokellen (East Prussia) - lives and works in Aßlar-Werdorf, Hesse (near Wetzlar), here: 5 expressive-abstract watercolours, each approx. 34 x 28 cm, each signed and dated 95 About the artist: Dieter Otto Berschinski is best known for his vibrant abstract paintings and elaborate colour woodcuts. In the early 1960s, he left the former GDR and studied painting and graphic art at the Academy of Fine Arts in Dresden from 1966 to 1969. From 1975 to 1979, he continued his studies at the Städel School in Frankfurt am Main, where he became a master student of Johannes Schreiter in 1980. His works navigate the tension between expressive abstraction and subtle references to reality.
