Ferdinand Barth, Summer Landscape, signed oil painting, framed Ferdinand Barth, 1902 Darmstadt - 1979 Lautertal, Distant view across summer fields and meadows with an adjoining woodland, oil on panel, 65 x 81 cm, signed, inscribed and dated 1962 on the reverse, framed About the artist: After finishing school, he first attended the painting school run by Adolf Beyer and Ludwig Habich in Darmstadt. He then transferred to the State Academy of Fine Arts - Städelschule in Frankfurt am Main. In 1924, he went to Carl von Marr’s painting school in Munich. He undertook numerous study trips until his return to Darmstadt in 1932.
