Horst Antes, collection of 6 colour lithographs, inter alia ‘Kopfußler’ and the ‘Olympia’ poster Horst Antes, born 1936 in Heppenheim, ‘Köpfe’, ‘Kopfußler’, House, Pipe and Ladder (colour lithograph with blue thread) and Olympic poster, 6 colour lithographs, sizes 41 x 52.5 cm to 101 x 64 cm, signed twice, one sheet folded, without frame About the artist: Antes studied painting under HAP Grieshaber at the Academy of Fine Arts in Karlsruhe from 1957 to 1959. His ‘Kopfußler’ (head-foot creatures), created from 1962 onwards, are characteristic of his work; these were inspired by the Kachina dolls of the Pueblo Indians, which for a long time were his sole subject matter.
