Alfred Dunhill Shell Briar Longitude Special Edition Tobacco Pipe, Unsmoked Alfred Dunhill tobacco pipe, part of the Longitude special edition series. The pipe is a Shell Briar model featuring a sandblasted black finish and a smooth, dark-stained briar underside. A distinctive world time-zone complication is integrated at the rim of the bowl, comprised of a polished silver-plated ring engraved with international city names and a rotating gold-plated numerical band marked 1 through 24. A single cabochon ruby is set into the gold band to serve as a marker. The pipe is accompanied by a black leather-bound presentation case shaped as a book with an embossed globe and clock face, titled Longitude Alfred Dunhill on the spine and front cover, as well as a black fabric pouch and the original black retail box. Stamped on the underside of the pipe with the Alfred Dunhill logo, Shell Briar, Made in England 22, 5103, and 525 of 2000. Pipe: 6" L x 1 1/2" W x 1 7/8" H. 4C CONDITION: Excellent, unused condition. The briar bowl and vulcanite bit show no visible charring, tooth marks, or wear. The silver-plated and gold-plated components retain a bright finish with no significant oxidation or pitting. The leather presentation case and fabric pouch are well-preserved with no visible scuffs or tears. The outer retail box shows minor shelf wear at the corners.
