Dunhill Cumberland Finish Briar Tobacco Pipe Set With Sterling Silver Accents, Unsmoked Dunhill Cumberland finish Group 4 Pot pipe set, model 4106. The pipe features a sandblasted dark brown briar bowl with a sterling silver rim and a sterling silver shank band. The band is engraved with the verse A Partridge in a Pear Tree. The stem is constructed of brindle or Cumberland ebonite with a white spot inlay. Accompanying the pipe is a sterling silver tamper cast in the form of a partridge in a pear tree. The set is housed in a dark green leather-covered presentation case shaped like a book, featuring gilt lettering on the spine. A commemorative card and a pink polishing cloth are included. The shank is marked DUNHILL CUMBERLAND, 4106, MADE IN ENGLAND 33, and 473 OF 500. Hallmarks are visible on the silver rim, band, and tamper, including a 925 mark for sterling silver. Pipe: 5 1/4" L x 1 1/2" W x 1 3/4" H. 4C CONDITION: The pipe appears unused with a clean, uncarbonized bowl interior. Significant dark oxidation and heavy tarnish are present on all sterling silver components, including the bowl rim, shank band, and the tamper. The presentation case shows minor shelf wear to the leather corners and edges. The interior lining of the case remains intact.
