The barrel is constructed of black precious resin with 925 sterling silver fittings. The distinctive clip is fashioned in the form of a wrap-around snake set with two round-cut rubies for the eyes. The pen operates via a twist-action mechanism. The barrel features a white facsimile signature of Agatha Christie. A sterling silver band near the cap is marked 925 with a hallmark. The central cap band is stamped MONTBLANC - MEISTERSTUCK. The upper portion of the barrel is engraved with a limited edition number 5712/7000. A yellow adhesive label on the lower barrel reads 0,7 mm Germany. The pen is presented in the original book-style presentation case with a marbled red and blue motif, including the matching outer cardboard sleeve and two instructional booklets. The original box label identifies the model as No. 28607. Box: 2" x 7.5" x 4.5" 15B CONDITION: The pen shows significant signs of wear and heavy use. There is extensive plating loss and brassing to the nose cone, exposing the dark base metal beneath the finish. The sterling silver snake clip and bands exhibit moderate to heavy surface tarnish and patina. The black resin barrel shows light surface scratching and scuffing consistent with regular handling. The presentation case and outer sleeve show minor shelf wear, edge rubbing, and light staining to the inner silk lining.
