2 - Paul Comolera Bronze Sculpture of a Jockey on Horseback

Paul Comolera Bronze Sculpture of a Jockey on Horseback This cast bronze sculpture depicts a jockey in full racing attire mounted on a standing horse. The jockey is modeled with a peaked cap, buttoned silks, and riding boots with spurs, holding a set of thin metal reins. The horse is rendered in a realistic, alert, stationary pose with detailed musculature. The sculpture features a dark brown patina and is set upon an integrated, naturalistic ground-form base. The base bears the incised signature P. COMOLERA on the top surface. The underside reveals a hollow cast construction with internal threaded rods and nuts securing the figures to the base. 19 x 20 x 4.5 inches. Location: 3C CONDITION: The sculpture is in overall very good condition. The dark brown patina is well-preserved with minor surface wear and light dust accumulation in recessed areas consistent with age. No breaks, structural repairs, or missing components were observed. The metal reins remain intact. NOTICE TO BIDDERS: The absence of a condition report does not imply that the lot is in perfect condition. Photos are considered part of the condition report.
