DINKY TOYS - SOUTH AFRICA (1) 552 CHEVROLET CORVAIR, gray, assembled in the Republic of South Africa, imported by ARTHUR E. HARRIS Ltd. in JOHANNESBURG. The unassembled parts came from the BOBIGNY factory. Only 6 cars from Bobigny were distributed in this way, likely due to costs or import difficulties at the time (1966). These models are significantly rarer than the Liverpool models (Dinky GB), which were also assembled locally. All of these models are quite distinctive, featuring exotic colors and a unique box printed in South Africa (with an illustration different from that on the French packaging, as well as text written in English on two sides and in Afrikaans on the other two). There is a small bubble that has burst on the roof. The box is complete, with creases and some wear; note that a large flap is detached but still present. A-.c.
