MERCEDES-BENZ 190 SL - YEAR 1961 - 11 CV - 2-seater - Es - CG - 76,000 km (engine rebuilt in Portugal at FM Classicos) An iconic roadster produced from 1955 to 1963, the Mercedes-Benz 190 SL embodies the elegance and certain design cues of the legendary 300 SL. Renowned for its comfort, reliability, and refinement, it prioritizes driving pleasure over raw performance. Its 1.9-liter four-cylinder engine, powered by two original Solex carburetors, produces 105 ch. Delivered new in France on August 1, 1961, by the Royal Élysées dealership in Paris, this example features an elegant DB 180 silver-gray exterior, paired with a red leather interior, a burgundy soft top, and a silver-gray hardtop. Fully restored between 2014 and 2016 by FM Classicos, it underwent a complete overhaul of the body, chassis, paintwork, upholstery, and electrical system. Its engine, which had previously been rebuilt, was inspected in 2016. Maintenance continued, notably with a carburetor overhaul in 2018, a brake system overhaul in 2019, a service in 2020, and routine maintenance in 2024. A technical inspection, including compression testing, was also performed. Presented in remarkable condition, this 190 SL captivates with the quality of its restoration and its faithful adherence to the original configuration, particularly thanks to its Solex carburetors. Exhibited at Rétromobile, it is a prime example for enthusiasts of the brand with the star emblem and collectors of iconic 1960s roadsters. Maintenance records available for review, including invoices.
