1920 Monet-Goyon Vélocimane Type A The first tricycle model designed by the brand to meet the needs of World War I veterans with disabilities, this Vélocimane stands out for its finely crafted frame and its distinctive brass frame plate—features characteristic of the earliest production models. Complete, it retains its main original components: a front metal-strap brake, a two-speed front hub operated by cable and chain, as well as its original hubs with grease fittings. It comes with a replacement rear wheel, several used front tires, new wooden crank handles, a seat restored by a basket weaver, and a new canvas seat cover, in keeping with the spirit of the era. Period documents and advertisements round out the collection. One of the original rear rims is heavily damaged. This vehicle could be preserved in its current patina, provided it undergoes mechanical restoration that respects its authenticity and original frame.
