Since 1912, the Moulin de la Galette and its famous dance hall could be reached either by a staircase from No. 77 Rue Lepic or via Rue des Deux-Frères, a small path leading from No. 3 Rue Girardon. Located at the bottom right: Montmartre The history of the place is complex. Suffice it to say that Nicolas-Charles Debray showed great ingenuity when, in 1834, he combined two mills and added a guinguette to them. This new complex was named the “Moulin de la Galette.” It remained a major hub of Parisian artistic life well into the interwar period.
