Charles Schulz Typed Letter Signed on the 1988 Peanuts “Tess” Strips TLS signed “Charles M. Schulz,” one page, 8.5 x 11, The Graphic Art of Charles Schulz letterhead, September 30, 1988. Letter to Gus Turbeville: "I was very pleased that you liked the 'Tess' strips. I am sorry, however, that we rarely sell or give away the originals, but if you would care to have a reproduction, I would be pleased to send it to you. Since we need to pass along the printing charge, your cost would be $25.00. Should you decide to order, be sure to let us know the date of the one you would like." In fine condition. The “Tess” strips referenced by Schulz concern a 1988 Peanuts storyline in which Sally Brown tackles Thomas Hardy’s Tess of the d’Urbervilles for school, characteristically mangling its title and author as 'Tess of the d’Urbervilles, by Laural N. Hardy.'
