Lee Harvey Oswald: Roy S. Truly and Buell Wesley Frazier Signatures - Texas School Book Depository Workers Scarce vintage ballpoint signatures, "R. S. Truly" and "Buell Wesley Frazier," on the reverse of a light blue 12 x 8.5 unfolded 11¢ John F. Kennedy aerogramme issued by the U.S. Post Office on May 29, 1965, in Boston, Massachusetts, with "First Day of Issue" cancellation. In fine condition. Roy S. Truly was superintendent of the Texas School Book Depository and Lee Harvey Oswald’s supervisor. In the immediate aftermath of President Kennedy’s assassination, Truly accompanied Dallas police officer Marrion Baker through the building and identified Oswald as an employee when Baker confronted him in the second-floor lunchroom, allowing Oswald to proceed. Buell Wesley Frazier, a 19-year-old Depository employee, occasionally drove Oswald to work and did so on the morning of November 22, 1963; he later became an important witness concerning the long brown-paper package Oswald carried into the building and testified at length before the Warren Commission.
